What Data Does WooCommerce Usage Tracking Send

WooCommerce can send a bunch of site data out if usage tracking is enabled on your site. This might have been enabled when your first setup WooCommerce on your site when you used the setup wizard.

An example of some of the site data that is being sent out when WooCommerce usage tracking is enabled;

Site URL
Admin email address
Active payment gateways
Active shipping methods
Activated plugins in list form
MySQL version
PHP version
PHP Settings, such as maximum post size, maximum input vars, if suhosin is enabled, if cURL, SOAP and fSock are enabled
Template overrides
Theme
Total number of customers
Total number of products
Total number of orders
Number of orders per Payment Gateway
Web server software and version
WordPress version
WordPress locale
WordPress debug mode
WordPress memory limit
WooCommerce settings
Gross revenue
Date of first order
Date of last order
Blocks and shortcodes used on cart and checkout pages

If you have usage tracking enabled in WooCommerce then a daily cron event will run on your site.

woocommerce_tracker_send_event

You can use the WP Crontrol plugin to search for that cron event from WooCommerce and delete it. With the plugin installed on active on a site go to;

Tools > Cron Events

Manage all your WordPress sites with the MainWP Dashboard

WordPress Management for Professionals

All MainWP Pro Extensions are available through one of our convenient bundled packages.

To make sure that usage tracking is not enabled on your go-to;

WooCommerce > Advanced > WooCommerce.com

With the usage tracking not enabled in WooCommerce on your site, then no data will be sent out. By default, WooCommerce usage tracking would be sent at least once a week out to the tracking API URL at WooCommerce.com
