How to Get Started With PowerPack Beaver Addons for Beaver Builder (In 3 Steps)

If you’re ready to dive into this plugin, you can follow these three steps to get started.

Step 1: Purchase, Install, and Activate the Plugin

For our first step, we’ll need to do a quick setup. You’ll want to start by choosing your pricing plan. There are three options available: the WooPack, the PowerPack, and the Combo.

The $59 per year WooPack provides modules that serve e-commerce needs. These include features like the Product Grid module for dynamic displays, as well as the Add to Cart module that helps to speed along purchases. You can also white-label the program and use it on an unlimited number of sites.

For non-WooCommerce focused modules, you might opt for the $69 per year PowerPack. This option will give you access to over 65 modules, more than 350 templates, and a cloud-based template library.

If both tiers sound good to you, you can opt for the Combo plan for $99 per year. This includes all features from both options. All plans include a full year of support and updates.

Once you’ve chosen your plan, go ahead and download the plugin. Be sure to grab your license key too. After that, you’ll want to go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin:

The WordPress plugin screen, with the option to add a new one highlighted.

Next, choose the plugin’s zip file and click on Install Now. Once the plugin has been installed, you’ll want to activate your license. Since this is required for important updates, it’s best to get it done right away.

Navigate to Settings > PowerPack. You’ll see a screen prompting you to enter your license key. Make sure to click on Activate License:

When you’re done, remember to select Save Changes. Your plugin is now activated and ready to use.

Step 2: Start Building Your First Page

If you’re ready to get started, we’ll begin with a template sourced from the plugin’s expansive library. Choosing one of these templates will give you stunning designs to start with. You can then customize it as needed.

First, go to Settings > PowerPack. Switch over to the Templates tab:

If you hover over a template, you’ll get an option to preview the design. This can be helpful if you want to get an idea of what it will look like on a full screen. Browse around for your favorite template, and click the corresponding blue Activate button when you’re ready.

After that, you’ll want to add it to the intended page. To do so, go to All Pages and launch Beaver Builder on the page you want to edit. On the right side of the screen, access the menu and go to the Templates tab:

The Beaver Builder menu, with the "Templates" Tab highlighted.

Once you get there, go to the Group drop-down menu, select PowerPack Layouts. This will display the templates that you’ve activated:

Click on your template of choice. You’ll then see a pop-up asking if you want to replace the current layout, or append the new choice onto it. Select your preferred option.

For an idea of what your end result may look like, here’s an example of a template selected from the plugin’s library:

Once you’ve settled on a template, you can add a new PowerPack Beaver Addons module. Go to the left-hand menu while you’re still in the Beaver Builder screen. Click on Modules, and then under the Group option, select PowerPack Modules:

Choose one to add. For our purposes, we’ll be using the Price Table module. Find a space on your template, and then drag and drop the module there. Afterward, the module’s Settings panel opens after you’ve dropped the module:

You can use this menu to edit the module as necessary. Remember to click on Save when you’re done.

Step 3: Enhance Your Site With Advanced Features

Now that we’ve covered the basics, we can move on to the more advanced features of the plugin. These options can help you further personalize your site.

We’ll start with white labeling, which is a feature that can help you project a professional image. First, navigate to your WordPress dashboard, and then go to Settings > PowerPack > White Label:

A few of the potential PowerPack white label settings.

Here, you can adjust the fields to change what your clients will see. We recommend adding your name and URL to the program. This will make it easy for clients to spread your work or contact you if they need to.

Next, we’ll take a look at the global settings. Changing these will affect default traits such as content width, margins, and padding. This can be useful if you routinely use resources that are far above or below the default sizes.

To access these settings, go to any page being edited with the Beaver Builder. In the top left, click on Currently Editing Page, and scroll down to find the Global Settings option:

The location of the Global Settings option.

You can then add your preferred measurements. Note that this will affect the default settings for every area you edit. Therefore, you may want to make edits for brief changes directly in the module.

Finally, you may want to disable some of the modules. Doing so can speed up your site and optimize your experience. To do this, goto your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Settings > Beaver Builder > Modules.  If you scroll down, you’ll find the specific options related to the PowerPack Beaver Addons:

A few PowerPack module options to disable, including the 3D Slider and the Countdown options.

Simply uncheck any of the options you don’t want and save your work. If you change your mind, you can always come back and re-check the appropriate boxes.

Our Beaver Builder plugin is a very efficient tool. However, that doesn’t mean that the program can’t get even better. With the help of PowerPack Beaver Addons, you can further customize your site and add new features to your pages.
